Seems Mitch is just getting in the news for everything today.
He sure seemed offended over the Democrats calling him out for a questionable ethical decision, when he based an entire campaign on reinstalling ethics in the Governor's office. Mitch, once you open that door, it makes everything you do fair game buddy. Hmm... I wonder why he was so offended? Could it be because he was CAUGHT in an unethical situation? Seems he was attending a fund raiser for his "key vote" for DST, Rep Troy Woodruff of Vincennes, and as part of the $25 donation, attendees were allowed to tour RV1.
Hmmm... state ethics laws prevent the use of State Property in fund raising events. Seems to me that charging for tours of RV1 would be a pretty clear violation of that.
Yet Daniels' office calls the democrats "insulting, hypocritical, politically motivated, meritless." And they point to Gov. Kernan attending fundraisers in a State Police Cruiser as the same thing. Not that I've been to many fund raisers, but I don't think I would pay a dime to take a tour of a police cruiser. In fact I really have no desire to ever see the inside of one.
Apples vs Oranges... but then again that is the standard operating procedure for Mitch.
