Mitch's delusion on Time Zones

So let me reiterate Mitch's campaign promise. Indiana must switch to DST, All Indiana Counties need to be in the same time zone and it needs to be Central.

Now he says this...

In the news: Daniels says time zone debate will happen - Indystar.com

Gov. Mitch Daniels told Statehouse reporters Friday that he believes Hoosiers still will get their full say on time zones, despite a federal decision to consider any changes only on a county-by-county basis.

Daniels had asked for eight to 10 hearings across the state to determine where the line between Central and Eastern should be drawn.

The federal Department of Transportation instead said counties that want to switch time zones must make their own cases for the change before hearings are scheduled and a final decision is reached, potentially slowing the process.

"Their outreach effort, I think, is going to be a very important one," Daniels said. "It's going to allow public- and private-sector leadership and individual citizens to express their point of view about which zone is best for their community."

After traveling last week in southwestern Indiana, the governor said he expects a number of counties there may want to switch to the Central zone.
What part of the federal DOT's comments does Mitch not understand? They flat out denied his request for statewide meetings saying that the DOT doesn't operate that way. They deal with counties, not states when it comes to rezoning of time zones. So Mitch was in the dark during his campaign and is still in the dark when it comes to time zones.

And he also says that a number of southwestern Indiana counties may wish to switch to the Central time zone. Mitch, doesn't that go against everything you have said to this point about all of Indiana needing to be on the same time zone?

I'm still waiting to hear about the wonderful economic development success stories because of DST. I'm sure those will come flooding in soon.
