Davis Learning from the NBA Again...

An article ran in the Bloomington Herald Times today. Unfortunately it requires a membership to read it online, so I can only link to the headline...

Players getting charge from new practice drill - Heraldtimesonline.com

But I have it from a good source that the following is in this article.

Rod Wilmont takes a charge from Cem Dinc during a practice drill Tuesday afternoon at Assembly Hall. Coach Mike Davis instituted the new drill after seeing the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies use it at a practice.

I must say that I am quite impressed that Davis was able to expand his coaching knowledge when it comes to taking charges from an NBA team. Wow! I've seen more charges taken in an 8th grade game than I have in the NBA.

Since the Indystar is full of lazy reporters, I'm sure the Star will have a full article available tomorrow.

ACK! I'm nervous enough about this season and then Davis goes out and does this? He should just follow Bracey Wright to the NBA. That's his dream anyway.

I have to say that I just about spit up my coffee with that comment about the Star. Ha!
