Scott Dixon, Dan Wheldon and Casey Mears brought it home for the Chipster.
I'm thinking Dan is feeling pretty good about his switch from Andretti Green Racing to Target Racing this year.
Nice promotion for Indy as well!

Since we live in a NASCAR world, what do you bet all the papers tomorrow will be promoting how Casey Mears won the Rolex 24?
All the Indy 500 talk was nice to hear. What was with Eddie saying he may run at Indy? I guess if he has to pay out of his own pocket, it will be him in the car instead of someone else.
Wonder how the compacted season and fewer races is going to get attendances and viewership up in the IRL.
Big gamble with the Gene Simmons thing. Barnhart is good at racing operations but I don't know about his abiity to grow the business.
What do you bet there will only be 18 cars this year?
I think the compacted season is the way to go. Why even try to compete with the NFL. NASCAR can't do it even with their bogus "playoff" system.
Outside of Indy I don't really care about car counts. But if I had to put money on it... I would say there will be 18 at Homestead, 33 at Indy and 20 for the majority of the races.
I like the Gene Simmons hire! He understands Viral Marketing like no other. See my previous posts on this topic.
Compacted season should help. At least they will have momentun going from race to race rather tnan having three weeks between races like before.
Didn't know that Gene was an expert on viral marketing. Has he helped other companies?
Car count is important in the IRL when you get a goof like A.J. IV taking out guys in the first two laps. Who wants to watch 10 cars share a two mile oval?
What about Honda being the only power in the league. Steven, foes Toyota know something we don't know?
