More on Davis

Rough week at work kept me from getting to some of the more important Davis issues at hand.

Fortunately my Texas Brother is right on the money with the first set of quotes that came out of the Wisconsin Locker room. Be sure to check out his report.

Mike Davis is an Abusive Parent
- The Spork Report
He told us we need to pick our heads up, work harder and we need to win.”

I’m seething with rage. That’s your big advice, “coach?” That’s like me telling a homeless person that all he needs to do is have a little pride and get a job. That’s all that needs to happen. The team just needs to work harder.

“We’ve got to get this thing turned around.”

What a simple strategy, “coach.” Is that like Bush saying our troops won’t leave Iraq until the job is done? Got any details in mind, “coach?” No? I didn’t think so.
Good stuff Spork Boy!!!

Some additional material was in the Star today.

A 'nation' united against its coach
- IndyStar.com
"One-hundred percent of our callers (Thursday) wanted (coach) Mike Davis to be fired,'' said John Michael, host of "The Drive" on WNDE-1260 AM. "You know that a lot of those people are making a snap judgment after a bad loss, but no one is happy about the way this team is playing."
Just shows you how many fair weather IU fans are out there. Those making a snap judgement are those that couldn't see Mike Davis for what he was. The rest of us have been saying he must go for 6 years.

Nothing to fear but fear itself, Hoosiers - fortwayne.com

Why does this not surprise me? DiPrimo blames Marco, Ben, Sean, Lewis, AJ and Robert. But not Davis. That disgusts me.

On a separate note, there are 2 protests supposedly being staged right now. The students are trying to coordinate everyone wearing black to protest Davis and the alumni are trying to get everyone to not show up to protest Davis. I doubt either will have more than 100 participate, but I will be watching for it.

Oh and don't bother looking for any signs in the crowd tomorrow.

No Signs? No Problem - IDSnews.com

I do find the timing of this interesting. 2 years ago when IU struggled, IU started outlawing signs and continued all of last year. But this year, with 2 big games against #1 seeds on National TV, IU let signs in. Then surprisingly this article comes out today. Think they are afraid of some anti-Davis signs tomorrow?
