BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Due to a flu-like illness, Indiana coach Mike Davis missed today's Indiana-Iowa game at Branch McCracken Court at Assembly Hall. Assistant head coach Donnie Marsh directed the team in Davis' absence.

"Coach Davis became sick this morning, and he is under medical care," IU team physician Dr. Larry Rink said. "From a medical standpoint, there is no way that he could be at today's game."

If Davis did in fact resign... this is just plain stupid to issue a release like this. I mean IU has Dr. Rink making a medical statement. He and the entire administration will be branded as LIARs.
