Yesterday was a perfect synopsis of what we have gotten used to seeing over the last 6 years. The team came out flat, turned the ball over and over and over, relied heavily on the other team to be equally undisciplined and then relied on a made bad shot to eek out a victory. I won't miss that at all next year.
I'm so glad that Marshall Strickland and Sean Kline will get to end their IU careers playing in the NCAA Tourney. Those 2 have earned that priviledge.
A few articles from yesterday:
Killingsworth saves best move - indystar.com
"That was a playground move,'' Killingsworth said. "Sometimes that happens. I've got a lot of stuff in my game; I just don't use it. I felt it on that shot and it went in." "If I take a shot like that and it doesn't go in, I had better get that rebound,'' Killingsworth said with a grin.
Purdue would be wise to add IU's Davis to staff - Indystar.com sports letters
As a Purdue fan, I appeal to Matt Painter to offer Mike Davis a job. Smart Boilermakers will take him in as one of their own and appreciate the talent he will bring to Mackey Arena. We will also take Robert Vaden, D.J. White and A.J. Ratliff if they want to come. If Painter can get Davis to come to Purdue, talent will start flowing into Purdue like they haven't seen for years. -Darrell ReedWow. Purdue fans really aren't very smart are they? I have an even better idea. How about a straight up trade Davis for Painter?

Come on Steve. You are such a hater. How could you dislike Marco going between the legs, stepping back and forcing a fall away 18 foot jumper? That was just money! If I were Davis, I'd just give the ball to Marco everytime and let him showcase his playground moves. Oh wait, that has been Davis coaching strategy all season long.
Mike Davis can come to Purdue as long as he doesn't mind being the assistant coach in charge of recruiting. Purdue fans don't want to see the Mike Davis brand of basketball.
When you watch Purdue play, you get to see a basketball team, well, play basketball - they cut, they set picks & screens, and they play hard despite the fact they've been overclassed all year. Those are all things I haven't seen out of IU all year.
Mike Davis has wasted a talented team that should have made the Sweet 16. Matt Painter would have gotten them there, Mike Davis couldn't.

wait, did the tournament happen already?
Joe, you can have him as a recruiter. I'm sure Coach Painter will love those 1 year players from the south. Leaves the Indiana kids for IU.
Oh wait, Davis doesn't understand the motion offense. I don't think Coach Painter would want that since he successfully ran Knight's version of the Motion all season long.
"wait, did the tournament happen already?"
A Sweet 16 berth should have been a foregone conclusion with that bunch.
IU has lots of talent. Unfortunately, they also don't have a coach who has a discernable offense, nor could the coach get them mentally prepared for the rigors of the Big Ten. Hence, wasted talent, wasted season.
Top-level Indiana kids don't want to go to IU any more. They'd rather go to UNC or Duke or someplace else.
The best IU & Purdue can do is get second-level guys and hope to develop them. I mean, who's the last IU or Purdue player to make it big in the NBA - Brad Miller? He was terrible at Purdue... how he made it big in the NBA, I never figured that out.
I guess if Painter came to IU then we wouldn't have to see that he has a losing record as a player and coach against IU. Heck let's bring in Keady! And we could have Tubby and Pitino as assistants.
