Geoff Ogilvy and Winged Foot win the US Open

Thank you USGA for creating a test of golf that puts professionals more closely in the shoes of us amateurs.

It's nice seeing pros having to pitch out of the rough to the fairway. It's all about the penality of the setup and A+ to the USGA for their high level penal approach.

16, 17 and 18 were playing tough today. He who made pars down the stretch was going to win. And that wasn't Phil, it wasn't Monte, it wasn't Furyk, it wasn't Padraig... it was Geoff Ogilvy.

Congrats to 2 Indiana golfers, Bo Van Pelt and Chad Collins for making the cut and finishing tied for 40th and bringing home $29,459 a piece. Not a bad weekly salary.

I'm with you. I like seeing pros struggle. 20 under isn't golf.
