Thank you Herbert, Greenspan and Dolson!

Remember a year ago when Davis had to go, yet these 3 decided it would be better to give him a nice bonus and another year?

Well this is the result of that extra year.

Prized guard chooses Purdue - indystar.com

Davis did ZERO recruiting in the state of Indiana and you can't expect Kelvin Sampson to come in at the last minute and get guys that have been recruited for years. Had Davis been gone a year ago, E'twaun and Eric Gordon would be coming to IU... instead they are going to Purdue and Illinois.

Thanks again Adam, Rick and Scott. Good job!

You are 100% correct! What did that year cost us? $300K, another year of complete underachievement, who knows how much in this year's class, and possibly Oden & Conley from last year. Ugh!

MUAHAHAHAHA!

Although in all seriousness it is nice to see things swinging back a little to the Boilers. Heck, even Kravitz gave them some love in the Star. As much as I loved Keady in the 80s and 90s, it feels good seeing improvement and a fresh young start happening in West Lafayette.

John, Don't bring your boiler crap over here ;-)

Actually I'm glad to see Painter getting Indiana kids. Give Kelvin another year and IU will be bringing them in as well. Nothing will get the IU-PU rivalry going again like having both teams made up of Indiana kids.

Steve, a little dose of Black & Gold reality is just what your blog needs! I completely agree though, I'd love to see the rivalry mean something again, rather than hoping that maybe Purdue can play the spoiler once a year in West Lafayette.
