Mike needs to keep these guys from talking to the Media.
From the Indy Star:
"Are you happy?" Wright was asked after the loss to Wisconsin.
Wright smiled. He began to speak. Then he bit his lip, looked around, kept smiling, looked around some more. Five seconds passed, 10. After the silence, he spoke quietly.
"I probably shouldn't answer that," he said.
Well, Bracey, you just did.
The source of his unhappiness, or whatever it is, is difficult to pinpoint. He acknowledged Saturday that this year's team was fractured, although not to the extent that last year's team squabbled. But there's also frustration. With the way he's used. With the lack of a low-post presence to keep defenders honest. With a lot of things.
"Sometimes I think my game is better suited to the NBA," he said. "I really do."
A few comments... 1) There have been Chemistry problems for the last 2 years... do people still blame Cov, Hornsby and Strickland? 2) This is a selfish team... any questions as to where that selfishness is coming from? 3) Does anyone think IU will be better next year without Bracey? Can you say Addition by Subtraction? DLTDHYOTA 4) How does Bracey's game better fit with the NBA? I don't see it... the NBDL maybe!
Davis has a great opportunity Thursday to send a message. Bench Bracey! Start Tapak in his spot. If Bracey doesn't like it, he can leave and Davis might have a chance at saving his job next year.
If Davis starts Bracey and lets him play his selfish game... IU loses... Bracey comes back next year and the cancer continues. Does anyone honestly think Bracey will help the freshman next year? Nope... next year will be worse than this year. And Davis has no one to blame but himself for letting Bracey's attitude foster!
