Sunday at Augusta!

What a final round...

First the beauty of Augusta... the flowering magnolias, the perfectly manicured fairways and greens... the caddies in White jump suits and green hats... the undulating greens... Tiger nowhere on the leaderboard... Amen Corner... the massive galleries... I must attend The Masters sometime in my life.

Then the golf...

K.J. Choi knocks a 5 Iron in from 209 yds for an Eagle 2 on #11... then proceeds to birdie 13, 15, and 16 to get to -6.

Back to Back Holes-in-One on 16... Padraig Harrington knocked a 7-iron in the hole and in the very next group, Kirk Triplett Aces #16 with a 6 iron.

Phil Mickelson birdied 12, 13 and 14 to get to -7 and within one of Ernie Els after it appeared Els was running away with it at -8 after an Eagle at #8 and #13 and a birdie on 15.

Phil then birdied 16 to tie Els with 2 to play while Els was in the fairway bunker on 18 both at -8. The really cool thing was that Phil had a smile on his face the entire round and you could tell he was enjoying himself despite the pressure of carrying the title of "Greatest golfer to never win a major"

Els parred the 18th to get into the clubhouse at -8 and Phil parred #17 to head to the home hole with a chance to do what only 2 others have ever done. Arnold Palmer and Sandy Lyle are the only 2 players to make birdie on #18 to win the Masters. Phil proceeded to hit 3 wood down the heart of the fairway, then an 8 iron from 164 to 15 feet giving him a chance at birdie. Where Phil proceeded to drain the putt and remove the monkey from his back! Time to win more majors.

What a day at the Masters!
