The Dodgers beat the Yankees 5-4 to take two out of three from the Yankees in the first regular season meeting ever in Dodger Stadium.

As much as I hated the idea of Interleague play, it has spiced things up a bit. Nothing to get a crowd out to Chavez Ravine like bringing the Yanks to town... and a great crowd it was... I loved hearing the non-stop chant of:

Yankees Suck!

Gagne got his 81st consecutive save pitching 1 1/3 innings... striking out A-Rod, giving up a solo shot to Giambi and striking out Matsui to close it out... Game Over!
