McD's Burger Game

So with Basketball winding down, Baseball almost ready to kick off, The Amazing Race on Tuesday night, Survivor and the Apprentice on Thursday night, I find myself watching the McDonalds All-American Game.

I go back to 5 years ago when Davis told us he would have the top McDonald's All-Americans coming to IU every year. I've been listening for a half now and I've heard... Duke, North Carolina, NC State, Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi State, LSU, Florida, Louisville, Syracuse, UCONN, Notre Dame, Washington,

Hmmm... now why haven't I heard IU? Maybe because Davis didn't land any? But he is a stellar recruiter.

Wednesday night TV must really suck because I was also wathching soccer. I couldn't take much of the defensive showdown that is the McD's game and turned over to the deuce. I was completely sucked in. I can count on one hand how many times I've watched soccer that wasn't an IU tournament game. As a hillbilly from southern Indiana I couldn't believe I was actually enjoying it. Reality set in at halftime and Cathy took the remote away from me, but I was impressed with how aggressive the US was playing. I have no clue where Guatemala falls in regards to world soccer quality. I guess it's just a good thing I have baseball, basketball, and racing all this weekend. I don't know if my mind can handle trying to watch another sport. Mike K

Divorce? Steve? Which Steve? Where am I, and why am I in this handbasket? Maybe if I repeat myself, he'll answer...

:)

Anon, since I don't think your comments fall under the heading of "Basketball, Football, Baseball, Racing, Golf, UFOs and Tenderloins," please move on.

Otherwise, I wouldn't blame our blog overlord Steve for turning off the comments...
